Adapted for New Zealand by the Ministry of Transport, the one-day training programme is based on the highly successful United Kingdom government-funded scheme, which has resulted in average fuel savings of 10 percent, and lower operating costs for fleet owners. This programme is now regarded as the most successful driver development programme ever adopted in the UK.
